In the late 1960s players would remain on the pitch during the half-time interval. England captain Budge Rodgers and Bob Taylor can be seen here at Twickenham enjoying sliced oranges and bottled water at half-time during the 1969 Calcutta Cup Match.
England went on to win the game by 8-3 thanks to two tries by Dave Duckham.
Players remained on the pitch at half-time during test-matches until the late 1980s before a trip to the dressing-room became the standard practice.
